I wrote this poem for my wife to show her how much I still want her after all our years together. Every morning when I wake up next to her, I feel just as in love as I did when we first met. This poem is about one of those mornings when we take time to really be with each other, sharing touches and kisses that remind us both how special our love is.
your fingertips dance across my skin,
heat blooms where you touch me slow,
desire ripples through morning air,
our bodies remember every note;
lips brush against my collar bone,
warmth spreads like honey dripped,
each kiss marks a path well loved,
passion builds in waves untamed;
my hands trace maps upon your back,
muscles flex beneath my touch,
your sighs paint pictures in the air,
we move like tide against shore;
breath quickens with each caress,
hearts drum ancient rhythms true,
bodies speak in whispered want,
love flows deep as ocean tides;
words dissolve in morning light,
touch speaks all we need to say,
pleasure crests and breaks like dawn,
two souls merge in timeless dance;
